Justin will be speaking about the build, the race, and the results at the Moto ADV Rally on Thursday night October 31st.

Suzuki’s V-Strom 800DE is an adventure bike not a rally race bike, right? Well Cycle World Executive Editor Justin Dawes thinks it is both and set out to prove it. After extensive racing modifications, Dawes put the V-Strom 800DE to the ultimate test racing down the entire Baja peninsula over six days in a competitive roadbook rally called the NORRA Mexican 1000 Rally.

Join us for a condensed 40-minute seminar on our “Riders 1st Responders” class at the upcoming Moto Adventure Rally on Friday, November 1st at 4:00 – 4:40pm in the Event Presentation Stage. This informative session is designed specifically for off-road motorcycle riders and their families & friends, providing you with essential knowledge and skills to respond effectively in emergency situations.

What Does the Seminar Cover?

  • CPR Basics: Learn the fundamental steps of performing CPR, including chest compressions and rescue breaths.
  • First Aid Essentials: Gain insights into handling common trail injuries such as fractures, sprains, cuts, and burns.
  • Emergency Response: Understand how to assess a situation, communicate with emergency services, and provide immediate care until professional help arrives.

What to Expect

  • Interactive Learning: Our experienced instructor will guide you through real-life scenarios relevant to off-road riding.
  • Practical Demonstrations: See live demonstrations of CPR and first aid techniques.
  • Community Engagement: Connect with fellow riders who share a commitment to safety and preparedness.
Off-Road Riders: The True First Responders
In remote areas where professional medical assistance may not be immediately available, off-road riders often become the first responders. By learning the basics of CPR and first aid, you’re not just protecting yourself—you’re equipping yourself to save lives within your riding community.

The Importance of Learning the Basics
Immediate and knowledgeable action can significantly impact the outcome of an injury. Understanding how to respond can reduce recovery times and even be the difference between life and death. This seminar is your first step toward becoming a confident and capable responder in emergency situations.

Path to Certification
While this seminar provides a valuable overview, it’s also a gateway to full certification. We’re currently working on funding for our 2025 classes and hope to release the new schedule at the beginning of the year. These comprehensive classes offer in-depth training and official certification through the American Heart Association with our instructor Erica of Life Goes On.

The foundation has a three-part mission that encompasses safety precautions for riders before, during, and after a racing career.

The tent camping option is a group camping area for those who ride their motorcycles to the event. This is first come, first served area with a limit to 30 participants. There is water and electricity available in this area.
No cars, trucks, trailers, or RV’s will be allowed in this area.
